Thrive

Fall 2024 BFA Show Branding

The Shaw Gallery at Weber State University biannually exhibits senior art student work, and we were tasked with creating the identity for the Spring 2025 exhibition. The identity was grounded in both structure and flexibility, geometric and organic forms. The obstacle was making sure the identity expressed the theme as well as the breadth of work featured in the exhibition. The elements were designed around the idea that to thrive as a designer requires both an understanding of design principles (grids, typographic knowledge, sense of space, etc.) and the ability to adapt to different situations/projects.

I was the lead on the project and produced the logotype and most of the printed material (posters, stickers, wall graphic). We all contributed to the quilt and organic pattern squares, producing a wide variety and range to choose from when creating the graphics. All of our graphics feature different arrangements of the patterns but keep the same structure to unify the overall project.

This project was done in collaboration with Addie Cantwell, Abby Weyand, Graicee Gibby, Jude Agboada, and Ben Evjen.
