Resonance

Event Branding

We were tasked with creating the identity for Weber State’s Shaw Gallery biannual exhibition of senior student work in Spring 2025. The theme of the show was Resonance, meaning “A powerful or lasting impact, where an idea, feeling, or experience echoes within someone.” The identity was designed to express the lasting impact of the students on the college and their peers/mentors. My main contribution to this project was participating in the physical experiments and typographic studies, as well as building the overall structure and event identity.

With a strong emphasis on physical media and texture, we let experimentation guide the output of this project and worked on a lot of it by hand. Merging the physical and digital worlds was key to developing an engaging and immersive experience, especially with the introduction wall which we painted by hand and projected a motion graphic on top. Our emphasis on play and experimentation shines through in the end result, creating a lasting impact on everyone who attended the event.

This project was done in collaboration with Addie Cantwell, Abby Weyand, Graicee Gibby, Sara Claypool, Ava Blakeley, and Ben Evjen.
